Obituary of Homer J. Sandlin, Jr.

Funeral services for Homer Sandlin Jr. “Jack”, 60, of Jeffersonville, IN will be on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2 PM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 – 8 PM and Sunday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral center. Jack passed away on November 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on August 13, 1957 to Homer Sr. and Myrtle Sandlin. He proudly served his country in the U. S.  Army and was a devout Army Veteran. He was also a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Sellersburg. Jack was known as a peaceful and loving husband and father who cared deeply for his family and his pets. He also loved feeding the birds with his grand-daughters. He loved God, his country, and his heart belonged to his grand-daughters.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Sr. and Myrtle Sandlin; his sister, Sally Shope; and his nephew, Cody Joplin.

He is survived by his wife who adored him, Kathy (Beck) Sandlin; sons, Ryan Sandlin (Tammy), Jacob Sandlin (Michele); Daughter, Christine Sandlin; step son, Josh Gramlin (Mariah); brother, Ricky Sandlin; sisters, Tami Beck (Bob), and Pam Sanders (Conrad); grandchildren, Madalynn, Elle, and Brooklyn; his faithful dog, Sam; and many nieces, nephews, and family.

The family requests that donations be made to Victory Baptist Church in Sellersburg. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
