Obituary of Margaret "Peggy" Jean McEwen

Margaret “Peggy” Jean McEwen, 78, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on March 8, 2017 at her home. Visitation will be held from 11-2 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. A private burial will be held at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN at a later date. Peggy was born on May 7, 1938 in Anaconda, MT, to the late Earl and Helen Wigert. She worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in Louisville, KY, and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Al-Anon and she enjoyed gardening, and going to yard sales but most of all she loved playing cards with her friends and family. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Anthony “Biggie” McEwen; her six children, Lauri McEwen Davis; Cyndi McEwen Guenthner; Bob McEwen and his wife Kristy; Brian McEwen and his wife Angi; Tom McEwen and his wife Rebecca; John McEwen and his partner Chris; eleven grandchildren, Tony Davis, Joe Davis, Aidan McEwen, Bailey McEwen, Calvin McEwen, Evan Guenthner, Benett McEwen, Murphy McEwen, Marcus McEwen, Megan McEwen, Max McEwen; and one great grandson, Liam Davis.
