Obituary of Stephanie Gaskins

Stephanie Gaskins, 34, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Visitation will be held from 10-1:30 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM following the visitation at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Stephanie was born on November 13, 1982 in Louisville, KY. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School with the Class of 2000 and from IUS with an Associate's Degree. She enjoyed camping and hiking, but most of all she loved sharing her appreciation for nature with Garrett. Stephanie enjoyed sports and was an avid University of Kentucky fan. She was a very generous person who loved to help others in need, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hildred and Dorlis Hitch; and great grandparents, Regina and Chester LaFollette. Stephanie is survived by her son, Garrett Miller; her parents, Gary and Beverly Gaskins; a sister, Amanda Cocke; a niece, Hailey Cocke; a nephew, Sean Cocke; two uncles, Anthony Hitch and his wife Holly; Greg Hitch; an aunt, Sandy Ostrom and her husband Lyle; and numerous cousins.
