Barbara Jean Smith 87; Jeffersonville, IN Barbara Jean Smith, 87 of, Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 21 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Cremation was chosen and Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville has been entrusted with her care. Barbara was born on February 28, 1930 in Ottamwa, Iowa to Clarence and Gladys Poncy. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Smith. Barbara is survived by her children, Marla Howard (Tracy Kerchner), Ricky Smith (Sherrey), and Dennis Smith (Gretchen Kirchner); grandchildren, Jason Smith, Stephanie Cooper (Dante), Matthew Smith, Derek Smith, and Mackenzie Kirchner-Smith; and great grandchildren, Jamen Howard, Jada Howard, Tyler Smith, Miles Smith, Zain Smith, and Givonna Cooper.
