Funeral services for Sylvania Alisha Sturgeon, 56, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery. Visitation will be held at on Monday from 10 to 12 PM at the funeral home. She passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2016.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Guy Wainscott; and two daughters, Alisha Cooper and Maria Cooper.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Michael Sturgeon, Amber Wainscott and Christina Whitaker; mother, Arnetta Wainscott; siblings, Guy Wainscott Jr., Betty Perry, Joyce Casey, Joshlyn Snelling, Serena Holliman and Valerie Casey; grandchildren, Autumn Wainscott, Dalton Babbs, Trey Babbs and Noah Whitaker; and several nieces and nephews.
