A funeral service for Ami Alvis, 70, of Clarksville, IN will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 28 at Legacy Funeral Center, 92 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, from 2 PM – 8 PM and Friday, July 28 from 9 AM - 11 AM  at the funeral center. Ami passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 surrounded by family.

Ami was born on February 27, 1947 to the late Horace and Marie Alvis. She loved to read, crochet, and spend time with her beloved Kitty Cat. She also loved to talk to people and make new friends.

Ami is survived by her companion of 20 years, Marvin Carlisle; her friends, Cheryl White and Richard Wheeler; and many other nieces and nephews.
