Obituary of Cecil Ray Allen

~~Funeral services for Cecil Allen, 78, of Charlestown, IN, will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Christ Gospel Church, 2614 E. 10th Street in Jeffersonville.  A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30-11 AM at the church.  Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville has been entrusted with his care. 

Cecil was born on September 24, 1938 in New Albany, IN, to the late Jacob Allen and Sylvia Brown.  He was a retired welder and a member of Christ Gospel Church.  He enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time outdoors. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosalee Allen.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband Gary; Cathy Allen Velasquez; and three grandchildren, Alexander, Joshua and Jared Velasquez.
