Obituary of Melvin W. Roution

A funeral service for Melvin W. "Wilkie" Roution, 76, of Jeffersonville, IN will be Tuesday, August 22, at 2 PM at Legacy Funeral Center.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 AM – 2 PM at the funeral center.  He passed away August 17 at his home surrounded by his family. 

Melvin was born October 20, 1940 in Taylor Co., KY. to Marion and Mallie Roution.  He retired from Jeff Boat. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Margaret White, Billy Roution, Kenneth Roution, and Jimmy Roution. 

Melvin is survived by his wife, Geneva; son John Roution (Lisa); daughter, Karen Allen (Ray); brother, Marion "Junior" Roution; sister, Mavis Sprowels; grandchildren, Nick Allen (Amanda Benningfield), Kari Sullivan (Zack), and Rebecca Roution (Mark Hawkins); and great grandchildren, Hailey Hawkins, Massie Sullivan, Clayton Crawford,  Kylie Crawford, and Emma Crawford.
