Obituary of Dennis Ray Windell

~~Dennis R. Windell, 61, of Sellersburg, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home.  A memorial visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, September 15, 2017 in the Foundry Room at Northside Christian Church on Charlestown Road in New Albany.  Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville has been entrusted with his care. 
Dennis was born on August 31, 1956 in New Albany, IN, to the late George Robert and Betty Windell.  He was blessed from an early age with the use of his hands.  Dennis was an entrepreneur, a craftsman and a jack of all trades.  He was an avid golfer and a loving family man.  Dennis loved playing practical jokes on his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.         
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Moser.    
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Hazel “Arlene” Windell; three children, George Robert Windell II (Amanda); Keisha Michelle Heil (James); Chelsea Ray Windell; six siblings; Rick Windell (Polly); Ronnie Windell (Connie); Jody Goodman (Shawnee); Vickie Windell (Debbie); Phyllis Hibbard (Dale); Lana Straney (Harry); and four grandchildren, Ryleigh, Hudson, Ashton, and Savaya.
