Obituary of Barbara E. Carter

A memorial service for Barbara Carter, 73, of Jeffersonville, IN will be on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 1 PM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Barbara passed away on January 16, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born on June 13, 1944 to Dave and Louise Emly. She was a faithful member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening in her free time. She took great pride in her flower garden.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Carter; parents, Dave and Louise Emly; grandchild, Adrian Carter; and siblings, David Emly and Paul Emly.

Surviving Barbara are her children, Michele Ferrari (Neal), and Michael Carter; grandchildren, Alex Ferrari and Josh Ferrari; and siblings, Ruth Powell, Mary Louise Murphy, Martha Bishop, and Richard Emly (Linda).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral center.
