Obituary of Dorothy Lou Snelling
Dorothy L. Snelling passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Louisville to the late Everett and Lora Carlisle. Dorothy enjoyed bingo and going to the boat. She was down to earth and famous for telling her funny stories. She was always the first to be there for anyone in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Snelling; daughter Peggy Ullrich; brother Everett Carlisle, Jr; sisters Daisy Carlisle and Diane Cranmer.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Patty Holcomb, Jeunese Rigsby, Kim Holmes (Troy); Siblings, Delora Mae Araujo, Richard Carlisle, Marvin Carlisle; Grandchildren Richard Holcomb, Tony Holcomb, Tisha Peterson, Ruth Ramer, Susan Marble, Curtis Ullrich, Jr, Amanda Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert, Chase James, Christina Perez, Amber Perez, Emily Perez, Kylie Perez; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her lifetime best friend Ann Ullrich.
Visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Center on Tuesday, January 30 from 2 pm – 8 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 31 at 11:00 with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery.
