Obituary of William Eugene Byrd

A funeral service for William E. “Billey” Byrd, 77, of Jeffersonville, IN., will be at 12 PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St., Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1 – 6 PM and Monday from 11 until time of service at the funeral center.  He passed away on January 31, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital. 

Bill was born April 12, 1940 in Turley, TN. to the late Horace and Liddy Byrd.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines.  Bill retired from Colgate and was a member of West Maple St. Baptist Church. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Janet Byrd; sons, Kelly Byrd, Steve Byrd (Marla), Dennis Byrd (Tracy Meir Byrd), and David Byrd; daughters, Darlene Lockhart (Dennis), Diana Likens, and Tracey Bradley; a sister Eva Hoofnel; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to any organization the donor chooses in memory of Bill.
