Obituary of John Chanci Jinks

John Jinks, 93, of Clarksville, IN, went to his heavenly father on February 27, 2018. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held in May in Hendersonville, TN.

John was a life member of the Connersville, IN Masonic Lodge. He was a proud Navy veteran who served during World War II. John spent 32 years working for National Life and Accident Insurance, however, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling in his free time. Cowboy movies were a staple in life, especially John Wayne.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Jinks; his parents, Chanci and Jenny Jinks; sister, Roseann Sturgeon; and two brothers, Ronald and Donald Jinks.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer (Darrell) Martin and Jane (Greg) Crooks; sister, Bernice Randall; four grandsons, Kevin, Brock (Kelsey), Cody (Katie), and Ross (Bri); one granddaughter, Jamie; and one great-grandson, Storm.
