Obituary of Genevieve Houchens

On March 2, 2018 our beloved Genevieve “Jean” Houchens, 85 of Jeffersonville, IN. passed away peacefully into Heaven.  Her funeral service is Sunday, March 4 at 6 PM at Legacy Funeral Center.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1 - 6 PM at the funeral center.   

She is preceded in death by her husband, Barkley D. Houchens; parents, Lilly & Martha Boggs; eldest daughter, Paula Ridgway; five sisters: Pansy, Ivis, Irene, Hazel and Norma.

Survivors include her daughter Theresa Wilson; and son Jerry Houchens; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Kaufman, Mark Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Casey Ridgway, and Brent Houchens; a brother, Pascal Boggs; and sister, Jenny Audas.  Jean, as she was known by all that knew and loved her, brightened every room she entered; her infectious smile brought joy to the hearts of everyone she met.
