Obituary of Jonas Leon Tanner

Funeral services for Jonas Tanner, 62, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2 PM, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. A visitation will be held prior from 10 AM to 2 PM at the funeral home. Jonas passed away at home on March 2, 2018 surrounded by family.

Jonas was a proud father and grandfather. He served in the United States Air Force before settling in Southern Indiana, as a carpenter. Jonas had a passion for craftsmanship that he used to breathe life into countless building projects in the Kentuckiana area. Jonas spent his free time enjoying his family and the outdoors. His quick wit and never ending knowledge will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Louanna Tanner; brother, Timothy Tanner; and sister, Cathy Tanner.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Patrick) Tanner Heiter, Rachel Tanner, Angela Tanner, Holly Tanner, and Regina Tanner; sister, Charlene Tanner; two brothers, Martin Tanner and Phillip Tanner; grandson, Andrew; and granddaughter, Madeline.
