Obituary of Maxine Ruth Crow-Ford
Funeral services for Maxine Ruth Crow-Ford, 75, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29 from 4 to 8 PM and on Friday from 10 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Maxine passed away surrounded by her family on March 27, 2018.
Maxie was best known to her family as being the one to tell it how it was, and not caring whose feelings got hurt. Even so, she was an amazing mother and grandmother, and her relationships with these people were something she prized more than anything. She had a love for yard sales and white castle coffee, which is what her Saturday mornings consisted of during the summer’s months. She will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Crow, Sr.; her parents, James and Ruth Bowles; sisters, Joann Jeffers and Sue Griffin; and one brother, Marion Bowles.
She is survived by, her husband, Harold Ford; children, Kelly (Frankie) Cash, Cliff (Samantha) Crow, Angela (Billy) Hines; sister, Lee LaDuke; brother, James “Scoby” Bowles; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
