Obituary of Eli Edwin Elliott, Jr.

Funeral services for Eli Edwin Elliott, Jr, 88, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2 from 5 until 8 PM and on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Eli passed away surrounded by family on March 27, 2018.

Eli was a member of the Air Force and served during the Korean War. He attended the University of Louisville, where he majored in Chemistry, all while raising his family and working full time. Eli enjoyed fishing, gardening, and photography during his spare time, but family came first. He retired from Colgate in 1994, after many years of working as a Chemist.  

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Elliott; parents, Eli and Alice Elliott; three brothers, James D. Elliott, Thomas Elliott, and John Elliott; and one sister, Nancy Stewart.

He is survived by his children, Dan (Mary) Elliott, Terry (Elaine Digges) Elliott, Rick Elliott, and Mary Anne Elliott; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
