Obituary of Marilyn Werblo

A funeral service for Marilyn Werblo, 81, of Jeffersonville, IN will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 6 PM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Marilyn passed away on June 16, 2018.

Marilyn was a very active member of Jeffersonville, Indiana’s community, where she spent almost her entire life. She was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church, loved doing Thai Chi at the Y, and attending Evening Lights circle. Marilyn enjoyed a variety of occupations during her life, including, working for the Indiana Ammunitions Powder Plant, The Village Inn Restaurant, and as a bus driver for Greater Clark County Schools, from which she retired. During her retirement she volunteered her free time to Meals on Wheels and Loaves and Fishes.

She and her family enjoyed travel vacations and camping in the local area, especially to Deam Lake. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Frank Davis and Hattie Bell Cox; son, Darrell Werblo; brothers, Kenneth Davis and Wilber Lee Davis; and sisters, Ruth Griffo and Elsie May.

She is survived by her four children, Sherri (Chris) Abromavage, John (Mary) Werblo, Linda (Jim) Kern, and Joseph (Marlo) Werblo; grandchildren, Kiersta, Arthur, Alex, Christina, Melissa, Jeremy, Joe, Brittany, Megan, and Savannah; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
