Dear Family,
Joe, Jan and Allyson
Time passing is like a feather in the breeze, so fleeting...!
Spilling on to a river to float away, caught up in a giant Oak tree to contemplate the goings on below or caught up in a breeze to lift and sway before coming back to mother earth. We all like that feather create our destiny during our short span of life on this beautiful planet. I knew Ricky and Allyson when you were just small sprouts..evolving into the beautiful conscious beings you soon became.
As my personal feather journeys took me far west in my teens I did not know you in your adulthood. But I remember well early on those Sunday dinners with Ethyl and Carl who were my grandmother and grandfather and with my grammies brother...my Uncle Dick. I knew Alice your grandma and your Mom..who are my second cousins, Jan and your Auntie Jeannie and Joe your father. At those long ago Sunday dinners you two would play with my Grandpa's hair in the big chair.
I've seen pictures of you growing up...but I have missed your feather's life.
Now I want to extend my heart to you and my sadness at Ricky's passing...so soon...just too soon. He is at peace, and with the great love that is light and love. I know he lives in your hearts, there you can always find him. Know I care and send my words of sympathy.
Be Blessed....Kristyn

Rick was my favorite person at work to talk about Detroit sports with. These conversations with Rick made being a transplant in Indiana make me feel a bit more at home. Every start to the NFL season we were excited to jump on the "Lions to the Super Bowl" bandwagon together! He will be missed.

Rick was such a good guy. Senior year of high school, I couldn't take the shame of having to ride the bus every day, when my Dad wouldn't allow me to get my license. So Rick, always the most generous person, offered to pick me up every morning and take me to school with him, in that big old navy blue Jeep pickup he had. I still have fond memories. He even let me drive it to school once! Of course, getting him out of BED in the morning in order for both of us to get to school wasn't easy!
I will forever remember his goofy, silly self. He was the kind of guy you don't ever forget, and I certainly won't. Goodbye, my friend.
