Obituary of Delcie Pearl Brown Weilage

A funeral service for Delcie Pearl Brown Weilage, 96, of Jeffersonville, IN. will be Monday September 10, 2018 at 10 AM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St., Jeffersonville, IN.  Burial will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 5 PM at the funeral center.  She passed away September 1, 2018. 

Delcie was born August 25, 1922 in Breeding, KY. to parents Grover and Cora Brown.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Weilage; and her siblings: Bertha, Benjamin, Jack, and Willy. 

Delcie retired from Colgate in Jeffersonville, IN.  She was an avid golfer, winning the first women’s tourney at Wooded View, and making 2 hole-in-one’s in her lifetime.  She also enjoyed bowling.  She was member of Park Memorial Church and Martha’s Circle for more than 50 years.  Delcie was a lady full of love and class. 

She is survived by her step-daughter, Betty Young; her step-grandchildren: John Young (Karen), David Young (Jody), and Julie Peters; five great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
