Funeral services for James “Jim” Butler Carr, 84, of Clarksville, IN will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home. He passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
Jim retired from Ford Motor Company and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He loved his wife, kids and grandkids and enjoyed spending his free time playing golf.
James was preceded in death by his son, Rick Smith; and daughter, Sharon L. Raisor.
James is survived by his loving wife of 50 plus years, Norma Carr; son-in-law, Charles Vincent Raisor; five grandchildren, Kim Raisor (Terrance Spencer), Karen Howard (Jerome), Jimmy Waggoner (Tina), Branden Waggoner (Megan) and Brittany Gieringer (Grant); seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jocelyn, Kobe, Brandon, Luke, Elizabeth and Hayden; and great-great-grandchildren, Bella, Emma, and Dakota.
