Obituary of Floyd Banholzer

 

Floyd C. (Bud to friends and family) Banholzer, Jr, 75, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away at his home in Heath Springs, SC on Sunday, November 11, 2018.  Bud was born on November 21, 1942 in Louisville, KY, the first child of Floyd C. Banholzer, Sr and Mary (Harris) Banholzer.  Bud proudly served in the US Army's 11th Cavalry while stationed in Germany.

 

Both parents preceded Bud in death and he is survived by his 3 sons, Mark (Shelly) Banholzer, Kevin W. Banholzer and Kurt (Amanda) Banholzer; his 7 grand-children Danielle (Phil) Jones, Shane (Kelly) Banholzer, Dustin (Sara) Banholzer, Sierra Banholzer, Derek (Becca) Banholzer, Kevin Tagg Banholzer and Sydnee Banholzer; and 7 great grand-children Chrissy, Cooper, Colton, Otto, Cambry, Isaiah, and Jolene.  He is also survived by his 3 brothers Kenny (Diane) Banholzer, Louis (Cheryl) Banholzer and Roy Banholzer;  his sister Barbara (Tim) Wycoff; as well as his 8 nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St, Jeffersonville, IN  47130, with visitation beginning at 9 AM.  Burial will be immediately following services with a graveside ceremony beginning at 1:30pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Center, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160.
