Obituary of Ruth Banks Maggard

Funeral services for Ruth Banks Maggard, 98, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, with entombment to follow in Walnut Ridge Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany. 

Ruth was born on March 20, 1920 in Cumberland, KY to the late Joseph and Stella Hall Banks.  She lived most of her life in Fort Wayne, IN, where she worked and retired from Sears & Roebuck Company.  After retirement, she moved to Jeffersonville, IN, to live with her sister.    

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers.

She is survived by her sister, Bettie Gum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
