A funeral service for Charles Smith, Jr., 78, of Jeffersonville, IN will be at 3 PM on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be from 1 PM - 3 PM at the funeral center. Charles passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville.

Charles was born on June 6, 1940 to the late Charles Sr. and Lona Smith. He loved animals, and often fostered for the Scott County Humane Society.

Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Charles is survived by his children, Rebecca Scrogham-Hooker (Ricky) and Eric Dudley Smith (Jan); siblings, Jack Smith, Ben Smith, and Alene Sanders; grandchildren, Ryan Stewart, Rachel Ortiz, and Nolan Smith; special niece, Branda Donahue (Jeff Richey); and several great-grandchildren.
