Mary Jo Thornton, 86, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on January 3, 2019 at her home. 

Mary Jo was born and raised in Mississippi and travelled the country with her husband and children.  She enjoyed her family and being a homemaker.  Her husband says she was a good Christian, a perfect wife, mother, and a perfect woman in all respects.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Snow and Cola Mae Snow; son, Eric A. Thornton.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Thornton; son, Robert Thornton of Charlestown, IN; and daughter, Michelle Annette Peter of Simpsonville, KY; two grandchildren, James Howell (Kaelin) and Robert Howell; and a great-granddaughter, Magnolia Jean Howell.
