Obituary of Charles Wayne King

Charles Wayne King, 79, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on January 4, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be held from 12 to 5 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Entombment will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Charlie was born and raised in Port Fulton in Jeffersonville and was a 1958 Graduate of Jeffersonville High School.  He served in the United States Coast Guard and worked at Tafel Electric in Louisville, KY.  He retired as a custodian for Clarksville Middle & High School after many years.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois King; brother, Sonny King (Donna-still living); and two sisters, Shirley and Mary Jo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna S. King; daughter, Tammi West; son, Doug King; grandchildren, Tiffany Punch (Jacob), and Cody West (Delanie); great-granddaughter, Madison; also, Christina Tackett (David) who was like Donna and Charlie's own daughter; and Peggy Taylor (Roger); and a great-grandchild on the way.
