A celebration of life for Elizabeth L. Shumate, 70, of Jeffersonville, IN will be at 4 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be from 12 PM – 5 PM on Wednesday at the church. Following the service, a meal will be provided at the church.Elizabeth passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Elizabeth was born on September 17, 1948 to the late Forrest and Geneva Harris.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Shumate; and brother, Bernie Harris.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Kim Barkham (Tom) and Debbie Shumate; grandchildren, T.J. Barkham, Katelynn Stinson (C.J.), Whitney Sandfer, and Jammey Stevens; great-grandchildren, McKinley Barkham and Jesse Fanning; and siblings, Judy Weis, David Harris, and Sheila Bryant.
