Obituary of Janet Sue Zollman

A memorial service for Janet Sue Zollman, 77, of Sellersburg, Indiana, will be held at 5 PM, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 and cremation was chosen. 

Janet was born on July 2, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Cary Tibbs and Elizabeth Pauline Smiley.  She worked as a beautician, a bartender, and most importantly a loving homemaker.  Janet enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, gardening and had a passion for history.   

Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a son, Tim Barnes; and a brother, David Tibbs.

She is survived by her four children, Todd Barnes (Valerie), of Greenville, IN; Holly Mardis (Edward), of Clarksville, TN; Robin Temple, of Jeffersonville, IN; Susan Mettling, of Jeffersonville, IN; a sister, Pat Wayne Diodati, of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Mason, Shacey, Connor, Allison, Brandon, Brent, Eric; and three great grandchildren, Anthony, Ronnie, and Weston.   

After the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception in memory of Janet at the American Legion Post 35, 1369 E. 8th Street in Jeffersonville.
