Robert A. Stutesman, Sr.

82; Bethlehem, IN

Robert A. Stutesman, Sr. “Bobby”, 82, of Bethlehem, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Louisville, KY. Bobby was born July 24, 1936 at home near New Market, IN, the son of James Harold Stutesman and Eva Mae Selmier. He was a proud U.S. Marine and served from 1958-1961at the rank of Corporal as a B.A.R. Man in G company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, and was later a member of the 3rd Marine Division Honor Guard and Drill Team.  He once performed for the King and Queen of Thailand. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to shoot his guns. Everyone remembers how he throw a penny in the air and shoot it every time!

Survivors include his sister, Sue Ann Brison (Eugene) of Nabb, IN; son, David Stutesman (Yvonne) of Charlestown, IN; son, Tommy Stutesman (Laura) of Bethlehem, IN; son, Jimmy Stutesman (Melinda) of Nabb, IN; son, Robert Stutesman (Lisa) of Otisco, IN; daughter, Lora Eickholtz (Virgil) of Deputy, IN; daughter, Donna Hammer (David) of Marysville, IN; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Beverly C. Sexton. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Bethlehem Community Church, 216 Bell St, Bethlehem, IN 47104. Visitation will be from 2 PM – 6 PM on Sunday, March 17, at Grayson Funeral Home, 206 E Main St, New Washington, IN 47162, and on Monday, March 18, from 9 AM – 11 AM at Bethlehem Community Church.
