Obituary of John Wayne Doss

John Wayne Doss, 68, of Jeffersonville, passed away April 27, 2019.  He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on October 1, 1950 to the late David and Rose Doss.  He was a self employed contractor and was a devout Christian.  He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda June Kosiar and a brother, Charles Doss.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Charlotte Wallingford Doss; four sons, John “Jay” (Shelly) Doss, Mark (Missi) Doss, Shawn (Gretchen) Doss and Stephen Doss; grandchildren, Phillip, Joshua, Christian, Kaitlyn, Mark-Patrick, Grayson,Sid, Presley, Benjamin and Johnny; 15 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Becht, Hazel Entsminger and Bonnie Yeary and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service to celebrate John Wayne’s life will be conducted on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 1820 East Park Place, Jeffersonville with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be from Noon-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville.
