Graham Haddock

Obituary of Graham Martin Haddock

Graham M. Haddock

75; Elizabeth, IN

Graham Martin Haddock passed away on April 30, 2019 at Kindred Jewish Hospital from a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Linda Miller and one son, Robert of Elizabeth, IN.

He was the son of the Late Lyman and Cassie Sawyer Haddock of Haddocks Crossroads, Winterville, N.C.

Graham has three living siblings, sister, Alice June Chudnoff, formerly of London, England; and brothers, Marlon K. Haddock and Philip Haddock all of Winterville, NC. He is preceded in death by three siblings, sister, Mildred Raye Jackson; and brothers, Wilton Haddock and Ronald Haddock of Winterville, NC.

Graham was a disabled Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War from 1967 through 1968 as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic. He retired from the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky as a civil service employee and also enjoyed spending a lot of time as a part-time farmer raising cattle and tobacco. As a young boy, Graham grew up in the Tobacco Belt of North Carolina where he worked on his parent’s farm in Pitt Co. N.C. Graham and his brothers and friends loved to go fishing in the Pamilco Sound around the east coast of N.C. It became very contagious, as his dear Mother was the leader of many of those fishing expeditions. He loved helping people and believed strongly in helping others in need. He will be missed by all.

Legacy Funeral Center has been entrusted with his cremation and there will be no formal service or burial taking place. Thanks to all for your prayers and thanks especially to Kindred Healthcare of Louisville and Jewish Hospital for their compassionate care. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the St. Jude Foundation. To leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.legacyindiana.com.
