A funeral service for Hubert E. East, Sr., 72, of Sellersburg, IN will be at 10 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9, from 4 PM – 8 PM at the funeral center. Hubert passed away at his home on May 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Hubert was born on May 11, 1946 to the late George and Edna East. He served proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Hubert was a local musician and enjoyed playing guitar and singing.

Along with his parents, Hubert is preceded in death by his siblings, George “Shug” East, Jr., Robert “Bob” East, and an infant sister.

Hubert is survived by his two sons, Hubert E. “Gene” East, Jr. (Anntoinette) and David East (Kristen); grandchildren, Zachary, Auguste, Lola, Devin, Dakota, Dawson, and Kaylynn East; and great-granddaughters, Violet East and Hadleigh.
