Obituary of Anthony Tyrone Roland

Anthony Tyrone Roland, 53, of New Albany, passed away May 5, 2019 at his home.  He was born on September 16, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Bruce Epps and Wilma Roland.  He was baptized at Bethel AME Church in New Albany, Indiana and was a CNA for many years.

He is survived by three children, Lakin Nicole Roland, Zakary Tyrone Roland and Xylon Anthony Roland; three siblings, Michelle Roland, Angelia Roland and Bruce (Staci) Roland; nephews, Lamont Roland, LaMar Brackens, Travis Starks, Corbin Starks, TeNale Roland, Brenden Roland and Bryce Roland; a niece, Shadae Roland; and a host of cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service to celebrate his life will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel AME Church, 315 S. 5th Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.  Visitation will be from 12-2 on Thursday at the church.
