A memorial service for Sharon D. Elmore, 54, of Jeffersonville, IN will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be from 12 PM - 2 PM at the funeral center. Sharon passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her home.
Sharon Denise Elmore was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 9, 1965 to George and Willie M. Roberts. The day of her birth just happened to fall on “Mother’s Day.”
Sharon grew to become a feisty child and she remained that way most of her life. She was loved by many.
Because Sharon’s father was in the U.S. Army, she attended several different elementary schools in Germany, Texas, and Maryland. She attended high schools in Maryland and Ft. Campbell, KY. After those schools she joined the Job Corp. where she specialized in Culinary Arts. She continued in a school for Culinary Arts after she finished her stay with the Job Corp.
Sharon was the mother of two sons, Sean N. Roberts and Richard N. Roberts. She was united in marriage to George Elmore in 2015.
Sharon departed her earthly life on May 11, 2019, just one day before “Mother’s Day.”
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Elmore and by her step father, James Perry.
She leaves to mourn her passing; her sons, Sean Roberts of San Antonio, TX, and Richard Roberts of Jeffersonville, IN; father, George Roberts of San Antonio, TX; mother, Willie M. Perry of Conyers, GA; grandson, Da Shawn Roberts of San Antonio, TX; step mother, Beverly Roberts of San Antonio, TX; brother, George Roberts, Jr. of Conyers, GA; sister, Treva Roberts of San Antonio, TX; brother, Michael Perry of Harford Co., MD; sister, Selange Roberts of Montgomery Co., MD, step sister, Tracy Pearson of San Antonio, TX; step brother, Troy Pearson of San Antonio, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
