Terry’s loving sole and heart of gold will forever be with me. She never worried about what others might think and simply loved those she met in life and followed her bliss….the world could use more like her. She shared her love and kindness freely with others and with Maddie at her side, brought so much joy to those who were struggling. Her big heart and beautiful smile will be missed by all those that knew and loved her. I feel sad for those that did not get the chance to know her. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
All my love,
Linda

I met Terry at the Vermont Studio Center in 2005 and she wrote this poem for me. I thought you would like to read it.
I am sorry to learn of her passing and hope that you all are getting along ok.
Warmest Regards,

Dear Urekew Family,
So saddened to read of your Mom's passing. Have known Terry since she was a teenager growing up around the corner from my Mom's house in Brighton. Some days were a challenge in those early days, but what a wonderful woman and human being she was to everyone she came in touch with. There for me for my wedding and for the time of my husband's passing 31 years later. In meeting up with Terry on her last visit to Boston, I could see how she was struggling health wise. Terry, my friend you are at peace and now in God's beautiful embrace. Say hello to Mary and Imre for me. Thank you again for all the help with my Mom's mass when she passed.

Terry was one of my first partners at Armstrong Ambulance. She was so calm and collected that I felt very comfortable working with her. She was easy to talk to and very easy to get along with she also taught me a lot about being a paramedic I’m going to miss her rest in peace Terry

Although I was not a close friend of Terry I did work in the field with her when I worked at Armstrong. She was a true professional and her skills were top notch. When not on calls she was fun to hang out with at the base during down times. She had a beautiful personality and was well respected. She will be missed. Thank you Terry for all you did For so many.

Sending our deepest sympathy from the Coleman family. I remember when the Urekew family moved to Kentucky. Sam and Sarah were the age of my brother Chip Coleman and if I recall Chip spent time on the family farm with this awesome family. Terry was a gem indeed! Prayers of peace to all.

RIP Terry. Working with you at Armstrong over the years was always a pleasure, and never short on laughter. I will miss your ability to instantly calm a scene, the way your smile always reached your eyes and your contagious laugh was certainly unmatched. I'm heartbroken to hear this news. My deepest condolences to your family. RIP my friend.

I have so many amazing memories of Terry and of our time spent together at Cortiva in Boston, where we were both studying massage therapy. Terry was a mother, sister, and friend to everyone she met, and each and every one of us in class felt lucky to know her. She was also an amazing Healer, and she taught us as much as did our instructors about how to care for others. And the best gift? - She made me laugh every day, and she never had a shortage of hugs to give away. I'm so grateful that our paths crossed, Terry. You will never be forgotten. <3

We were friends from the first time we met.
We have kids near the same age. We kinda shared her kids and mine. She was a very hard worker, one of the best paramedics I’ve ever known, she loved her job. Her heart was in it. She is going to be missed for sure. A few weeks ago as I was leaving she looked at me and said, “ hey Janet, please don’t forget me.” with tears in my eyes I told never ever could I or would I forget her. Terry Urekew, or Ukey as I called her a lot, will live on, she will never be forgotten. I am and will always be proud to have worked with her for so many years at Washington Co.EMS IN Kentucky.
Proud of her kids as they have grown up and made their own family’s. I am very proud of Sarah, for being there. I know some times it was difficult but you hung in there. Just a prodigy of what your mom taught you. I love all of you kids. My prayers are with you as you grieve and adjust to her being gone . However I rejoice in the fact that Terry has entered into the kingdom of GOD, with a crown so full of jewels there is no space for another.
She is at peace. No more shortness of air, no more pain. Surrounded by more Love than we can imagine. Fly high my friend, until we meet again.
