A funeral service for Truman L. Geary, Sr., 79, of Jeffersonville, IN will be at 12 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 13, from 12 PM – 8 PM and on Friday, June 14, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the funeral center. Truman passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Truman was born on July 19, 1939 to the late Robert and Mamie Geary. He was united in marriage to Patricia A. Johnson in 1957. Truman and Patricia enjoyed spending their nights square dancing together. Truman was passionate about caring for children. He donated most of his time to Little League Baseball and Football. He served on Jaycees with Patricia and also took part in the Empty Stocking Fund. He was also a big supporter of Jeff High and served on the Jeff High Boosters.

Along with his parents, Truman is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia A. Geary; and brother, Bobby Geary.

He is survived by his children, David R. Geary (Janise), Anna Schnabel (Warren), Truman Geary, Jr. “Butch” (Monique), and Charles Geary (Lisa); grandchildren, Dominic, Charles Jr. “Patric”, Truman III “L.B.”, Miranda, David Jr. “D.J.”, Mary Pat, and Justin; one great-grandchild, Elsie; and siblings, Mary Ellen Christian, Sheila Tarrant, and Harold “Bo” Geary.
