Pamela Kay Staggs, 68, of Watson, IN, passed away on June 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 PM to 6 PM on Thursday at the funeral center.
Pamela was born on March 24, 1951 in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late Harold and Juanita Roberts. She retired after 25 years of service at W.E. Wilson and Northaven Elementary as a special needs paraprofessional. Pam had a special talent when it came to caring for children and will be remembered by all for her compassionate spirit. She also cherished spending time with her Prather School Friends.
Pam loved her time at the beach and was known and will be remembered for her pink flamingos. She also enjoyed dancing to the oldies at Jim Porter’s Good Time Emporium.
She was a woman of faith and a member of Sunnyside Assembly of God.
She is survived by her son, Benjamin “Ben” Staggs and daughter, Staci Stewart (Steven); sister, Vickie Eaton (Patrick) ; brother, Mike Roberts (Mary), brother, Scott Bayer (Peg), and sister, Rachel Walts (Sean); cousin, Deborah Osborne; special friend, Donnie Adams; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, and special friends and family that made up “Team Pam.”
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Southern Care Hospice team for the exceptional care in a time of need. Donations can be made to Southern Care Hospice in Pam’s Honor. Envelops will be available at the funeral home.
