Funeral services for Willie Lou Ballard Jones, 78, of Jeffersonville, Indiana will be held at 1 PM, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 2701 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11-1 PM at the church.  She passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019. 

Willie Lou was born on October 1, 1940 in Stanton, TN, to the late, Booker T. and Lula Ballard.  She previously worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown and later retired from Cissell Manufacturing in Louisville.  Willie Lou worked for Jeffersonville Parks and Rec. at the Ken Ellis Senior Center and she enjoyed gardening.  She was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church where she served as an usher. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Fannie B. Miles.

Willie Lou is survived by her loving children, Dewayne Ballard, Bill Ballard (Rebekah, fiancé), Christy Jones; three siblings, Jennie Hunt, Booker T. Ballard Jr. (Elizabeth), Dell Ballard (Pamela); four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; aunt, Vernita Douglas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
