Willie G. Kitchens III “Bud”, 50, of New Albany, IN passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be at 6 PM on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation for Bud will be on Monday from 4 PM – 6 PM at the funeral center.

Bud was born on March 18, 1969 in New Albany, IN. From a young age, he was known for his intelligence and witty sense of humor. Bud loved all things historic and enjoyed building his own board games and maps. Following his education, he moved to Texas where he spent most of his adult life. Bud had a kind and gentle spirit and always found a reason to smile or laugh.

Bud is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Kitchens; and grandparents, Willie Kitchens, Sr., and Roy and Marea Olson.

He is survived by his parents, Diane Bellamy and Willie Kitchens, Jr. (Deborah); son, Kenneth “K.C.” Kitchens (Morgan); siblings, Amy Garcia and Hannah Gonzalez; grandmother, Mary Hayes; step-children, Matt Hornbuckle and Brooklyn Becker; step-grandchildren, Jonathan and Hazel Becker; four nephews, two nieces, and a host of extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made toward the funeral arrangements. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
