Obituary of Robert David Collins Sr.

Robert David Collins Sr., 77, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on August 27, 2019 surrounded by his family. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday and after 9 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. 

Robert was born on February 10, 1942 in Bedford, IN, to the late, John Sr. and Lillian Collins.  After graduating from New Albany High School, he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a United States Marine.  Robert retired after 30 plus years of being a School Bus Driver for Greater Clark County Schools. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, John Robert and Mary Collins.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beverly A. Collins; sons, David Collins Jr., and Bill Collins; brother, Charlie Collins (Bonnie); granddaughter, Ashley N. Collins (Aramis J. Hartman); great-granddaughter, Natalie R. Hartman; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
