Nancy Sue Smith, 71, of Clarksville, IN passed away on September 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be at 12 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation for Nancy will be on Sunday, September 15, from 12 PM – 6 PM and on Monday from 10 AM – 12 PM at the funeral center.

Nancy was born on January 16, 1948 in Nashville, TN. She was known for her kind and genuine spirit. Nancy adored her grandchildren and always looked forward to time spent with family. She was a faithful member of Eastside Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her Women’s Bible Study group. Nancy was also an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Smith; father, Clarence Cherry; and the father of her children, James E. Tincher, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James E. Tincher, Jr., Brian D. Tincher (Niki), and Christopher G. Tincher (Rhonda); mother, Bertha Cherry; and siblings, Clifton Douglas (Sherry); Ricky Cherry (Dana); Debbie Voyles, and Joyce Dwyer (Paul).

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
