Obituary of Michael Lin Deason

Funeral services for Michael Lin Deason, 66, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, November 1, 2019, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM and on Friday prior to the service from 9-11 AM at the funeral home.  He passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019.   

Michael was born on September 26, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Donald L. and Mary L. Deason.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force.  Michael worked as a computer analyst until retirement.  He was an avid baseball and football fan.  He enjoyed working in the garden and was extremely talented with the use of his hands.  He was a good wood worker and enjoyed remodeling projects at his home.   

He is survived by four children, Justin Sowder (Stephen); Julie Morrow; Christopher Deason; Danielle Lawrence (Mike); three siblings, Carla Dover (Bob); Mark Deason (Bonnie); Scott Deason (Roxanne Mathieu); and three grandchildren, Jack Deason, Dustin Deason, and Micah Lawrence.    

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
