Obituary of Lucille Marie (Tapp) Schiller

A memorial visitation for Lucille Marie (Tapp) Schiller, 72, of Clarksville, Indiana, will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 3-8 PM at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow and a private burial at a later date.  She passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Clark Memorial Hospital. 

Lucy was born on October 14, 1947 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Lora Evans Tapp and Lloyt Elizabeth (Markert) Tapp.  Lucy retired from South Central Bell after 30 years and 4 days, but she didn’t stop working! She went on to be a caretaker for many family and friends that needed her help for the next 19 years until cancer jumped up and bit her.  Cancer may have won the battle, but Lucy won the war and received her wings. 

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Steve Schiller; a son, Sam Schiller (Nicole Berzins); the light of her eyes, a granddaughter, Hazel; a brother, Larry Tapp (Hilda); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.
