Obituary of Gavin Michael Johnson

Gavin Michael Johnson, 32, Clarksville, Indiana

Gavin M Johnson, 32, of Clarksville, IN passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11 am to 6 pm with immediate family members viewing Gavin from 11:00 am til noon. At 6 pm there will be a service at the funeral home.

Gavin was born on May 20, 1987 in Louisville, KY. He attended Jeff High School, followed by graduation from Pleasure Ridge Park  High School. Gavin worked for Ontap Irrigation and Evergreen Irrigation, lawn care businesses out of Louisville, KY. He was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his children. Gavin was also an avid U of L fan, enjoyed weight lifting, and was a Marvel/DC enthusiast and collector of all super hero movies which reflected his “kid at heart” love for life. As well, he appreciated good sushi, fantasy football, outdoor recreational activities, and of course his love of tattoos. Gavin was loyal at heart to his loved ones and will always be remembered by the lasting memories he made with his family and friends.

Gavin is preceded in death by his grandfather, Maurice Keys.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gavin Johnson, Jr. and Faith Michelle Johnson; mother, Rhonda Johnson; siblings, Eric Embry (Angela), Ryan Embry (Brittany Blair), Mallory Pinnick and Julie Johnson; and grandmother Patricia Timberlake.
