Obituary of Paul Joseph Darr

Paul Joseph Darr 62; of Jeffersonville An open house visitation for Paul Joseph Darr, 62, of Jeffersonville, Indiana will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. Paul passed away comfortably surrounded by loved ones on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Paul lost his battle with cancer, after fighting for over year. His courage and strength continued to the very end. He was born on May 24, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky. He later moved and finished his life in Jeffersonville after marrying Teresa Darr on December 18, 1976. “Good man Paul” has been a mentor to many over the years, and father figure to several. To know Paul then you knew he had a huge heart and helpful attitude. His quiet strength was well known by all of those he has helped over the years. He served his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus for several years. Man of integrity and loyalty to his work, family and friends. He was a big fan of motocross. Over the years he has taught several children how to ride. Loved ones remaining to celebrate Paul’s life include his loving wife of 38 years, Teresa Darr; four children, Susan Oliver and her husband James; Patrick Darr; Shelby Darr; Austin Darr; his mother, Marie Darr; five siblings, Alice Darr; Richard Darr; James Darr; Karl Darr; Charles Darr; two grandchildren, Klark and Kaitlyn Oliver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
