Funeral services for Clyde Goforth, 87, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. He passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home.
He was born to Otto and Dora Goforth on May 24, 1930 in Harlan Co. KY.
He was retired after 30 years at Brown and Williamson. Up until his death he had been employed the past 18 years with LANDMILL Developers. He was the hardest working man who truly loved and cared for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joyce A. Goforth Frantz; grandson, Ricky Goforth; brother, George Goforth; and sister, Rose Rirk.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bobbie J. Goforth of Jeff, IN; sons, Wayne Goforth of Macon, GA, Roger Goforth (Frances) of Jeff, IN, Robert Goforth (Liz) of Orlando, FL; grandsons, Rod Goforth (Amy) of Greenville, IN, and Daniel Frantz of Jeff, IN; great-grandchildren, Evan, Drew and Lily Goforth, and Ian Bader; sisters, Villis Garland of Corbin, KY and Elsa Brown of Stockbridge, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
