I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother, and found
great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord will
swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at
Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's promise to remove both pain and death.

Dana, Valerie and family,
Aunt Doris was one of a kind. As a kid and growing up in the project I remember her being a hard working dedicated mom. She was so kind and considerate of all the family and was always willing to do what needed to be done. I can never forget when she would bring us Frito chips from her work, we were always so excited. Doris was strong and a fighter, she stood tall among us all for being so short. God bless her in heaven and make her life peaceful she deserves the best. I pray for the family and know she will be missed by all. I say this with a wink, Carlos is waiting impatiently!!
Love, Roger and Dana Crase

Doris was a wonderful special Woman who believed in Family and was unmatched in personal Integrity and work ethic. She was a friend to me and I loved her as much as her daughter, Valerie. She was a part of America that is disappearing in a new generation of people that do not know or understand the concept of commitment and dedication like a fractured coal miner's family learned and lived by.
A self sacrificing and tireless creative family chef that displayed culinary expertise capable of greatness in a myriad of sauces and dishes that she prepared on a regular basis. Not satisfied with mediocre creations in anything she did she passed this trait down to her son and daughter who now carry on her skills and dedication in everything they do. Doris had a calmness about her that met life without worry and without sadness. She always pointed the way with high expectations for good behavior, not with cheap words but with glittering example. She will wear a crown where she rest now after a well lived and exemplary life.
Doris, I will remember you as long as I breathe and live. This wonderful time that I have enjoyed your friendship for some forty years has removed a lot of life's scars and hurts that I have experienced. Your ability to forgive is God like and perfect and is deeply appreciated by this man and all others that knew you. Please watch after your family from afar and look over each one of us daily. Your example, your food, your love, your kindness, your calmness and your spirit will be surely missed the remaining days of all our lives. But you will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts and attitude.
