Funeral services for Doris J. Brooks, 86, of Jeffersonville, will be at 12 PM, June 4, 2018 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, with entombment in Walnut Ridge Mausoleum to follow. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018 and after 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home.  She passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Doris was born on March 12, 1932 to the late James and Jessie Sandlin. She retired from General Electric after 25 years of employment. She was an avid UK fan and enjoyed spending holidays with her family, especially Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlos Edward Brooks; parents, James and Jessie Sandlin; and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Dana Brooks (Carolyn), of Glasgow, Ky.; daughter, Valerie Veeley (John), of Jeffersonville; two grandsons, Greg Brooks (Angie), of Floyds Knobs, and David Brooks, of Louisville; and her beloved puppy, Abi.
